The science

How a tiny strip
does big work.

Solved combines two clinically established PDE5 inhibitors with a micro-dose of oxytocin in an oral dissolvable film — designed by US-licensed providers to be faster, longer-lasting, and easier to use than a traditional pill.

Why a strip on the tongue.

A Solved strip is a thin oral film — about the size of a postage stamp — that dissolves on top of your tongue in roughly 15 seconds. Part of the dose absorbs directly through the lining of your mouth, and the rest is swallowed in liquid form, with no hard tablet that has to break down in your stomach before it can do anything.

Faster onset

Bypasses the digestive tract — many men feel effects within ~15 minutes versus 30 – 60 minutes for an oral tablet.

Food-flexible

Sildenafil tablets lose potency when taken with a heavy or fatty meal. A strip dissolves before food can interfere.

Discreet

No water, no glass, no pill bottle. A single packet fits in a wallet — designed for the moment, not a routine.

Inside the strip

Three ingredients.
Each with a job.

Solved Max is built around three actives. Solved Fast uses sildenafil only — the simplest, lowest-cost option for occasional use.

Sildenafil

40 mgPDE5 inhibitor
Onset:
~15 minutes on the tongue
Duration:
4 – 6 hours
What it is

Sildenafil is the active ingredient in Viagra. It belongs to a class of medications called PDE5 inhibitors.

How it works

An erection happens when blood flow into the penis increases. Sildenafil blocks an enzyme (PDE5) that breaks down the signal responsible for that blood flow, so when you're aroused, it's easier to get and maintain an erection. It does not create arousal on its own — sexual stimulation is still required.

Good to know

Used in clinical practice since 1998. Most common side effects are mild headache, flushing, or nasal congestion.

Tadalafil

10 mgPDE5 inhibitor
Onset:
~30 – 60 minutes
Duration:
Up to 36 hours
What it is

Tadalafil is the active ingredient in Cialis. It's in the same PDE5 inhibitor family as sildenafil but with a much longer half-life.

How it works

Same mechanism as sildenafil — it blocks PDE5 to support healthy blood flow during arousal. The difference is duration: a single dose stays active for up to 36 hours, which is why tadalafil is often called the "weekend" medication. Combining it at a lower dose with sildenafil gives you both fast onset and a long window of responsiveness.

Good to know

Approved by the FDA in 2003. Like sildenafil, it requires sexual stimulation to work and is well-tolerated in most healthy adults.

Oxytocin

50 IUNeuropeptide hormone
Onset:
Minutes (oral film)
Duration:
Short-acting
What it is

Oxytocin is a naturally occurring hormone your body produces during physical closeness, hugging, and intimacy. It's often referred to as the "bonding" hormone.

How it works

At a low, micro-dose level, oxytocin is included to support a sense of calm, connection, and presence — the emotional side of intimacy that an erection medication alone doesn't address. Early research suggests oral oxytocin may help reduce performance anxiety in some men.

Good to know

Used off-label in compounded sexual health formulations. The dose in Solved is well below thresholds used in obstetric medicine.

The combination

Why combine them?

Each of the three actives in Solved Max addresses a different part of how confidence and responsiveness actually work in the body:

The doses in Solved Max (40 mg sildenafil, 10 mg tadalafil) are deliberately lower than typical standalone prescriptions, because the two actives work together rather than stacked at full strength.

Safety

Who it's not for.

PDE5 inhibitors are well-tolerated for most healthy adults, but they aren't right for everyone. Solved is not appropriate if you:

  • Take nitrates (for chest pain) or guanylate cyclase stimulators
  • Have severe heart, liver, or kidney disease
  • Have had a recent heart attack, stroke, or unstable angina
  • Have certain inherited eye conditions (e.g. NAION)
  • Are under 18, or were assigned female at birth

Every Solved order is reviewed by a US-licensed provider who screens your full medical history before a prescription is issued. If Solved isn't right for you, we'll tell you — and you won't be charged.

Common questions

Why a strip instead of a pill?+

Pills are absorbed through the digestive tract — slower, and partially neutralized by stomach acid and food. A Solved strip dissolves on your tongue, so a portion of the active ingredients absorbs directly through the lining of your mouth into the bloodstream — and what you swallow isn't held up by a hard tablet that has to break down first.

Is this safe to combine sildenafil and tadalafil?+

Combining low-dose PDE5 inhibitors is a well-established compounding practice when prescribed and reviewed by a licensed clinician. Our providers screen your full medical history before approving a prescription. People taking nitrates or with certain heart conditions cannot use PDE5 inhibitors.

Will it work the first time?+

Most men respond on the first dose, but individual response varies based on physiology, stress, and timing. If Max doesn't feel right for you, you can switch to Fast (or vice versa) from your account.

Is this FDA-approved?+

Solved is a compounded medication, which means it's prepared by a licensed US compounding pharmacy using FDA-approved active ingredients. The individual ingredients (sildenafil, tadalafil, oxytocin) are FDA-approved, but the specific combination strip is not separately FDA-approved — this is standard for compounded prescriptions.
